Life Is Full Of Surprises

Sometimes life is full of surprises. Some of them are absolutely wonderful, some a little scary, others we wish we never had to experience. But every new experience, every new encounter, helps us to grow, to learn, and to live.

March 17th -- Matthew is 7 lbs today!
Feb 6th -- Matthew's is born! 4 lbs, 1oz., 17 in., 29 wks 6 days
Feb 5th -- Ruptured sac again w/ contractions and bleeding! 1cm dialation
Feb 2nd -- US, baby movement great, wt. approx. 3lbs 5ozs, amnioitic fluid 8cm.
Feb 1st (29 wks) -- Contractions and bleeding, but still holding in there!
Jan 29th (28wks) -- Leaking amniotic fluid, in the hospital until delivery
Jan 19th (27 wks) -- 1.7cm, OB concerned, VERY thin, stitch is only thing holding cervix closed, no traveling, labor is next step
Jan 14th to Jan 15th -- Triage visit and hospital stay w/ contractions 4-15 min. apart, 1.5cm, very thin cervix, funneling
Jan 12th (26 wks) -- 2.2cm, no change
Jan. 5th (25wks) -- Amniotic fluid normal (11.3cm), baby ok, 2.2cm, funneling
Jan. 3rd -- Met w/ NICU
Jan. 2nd to Jan. 5th -- Hospital stay, 2.1cm, baby low w/ pressure to cervix, amniotic fluid low, put on new medication
Dec. 29th (24 wks) -- 1.7cm, amniotic fluid low, reduce meds.
Dec. 17th (22 wks) -- 2.3cm, funneling
Dec. 11th -- 2.5cm, funneling, no contractions
Dec. 8th (21 wks) -- Strict bedrest, 2.25cm, given endomethocin (sp?)
Dec.3rd (20 wks) -- Placed on liberal bedrest due to contractions, cervix measures 2.9cm, given prometrium (progesterone)
13 wks -- Placement of cerclage to close cervix
August '08 -- 4th and final pregnancy, due April 18th '09
May (Mother's Day) '07 -- Loss of Alexandra Marie Calvin at 18 wks, incompetent cervix
Jan '07 -- 3rd pregnancy, due Oct 11th
Summer '06 -- 2nd pregnancy, loss at 4 wks, reason unknown/possibly exposure to CAT Scan/radiation
Sept, '04 -- Andrew's diagnosis w/ MD
March 23rd, '04 -- Andrew was born healthy (a little jaundice), 35 wks
Feb '04 -- Preterm Labor w/ Andrew, 32 wks
